Forsyth Lodge Satpura

Sloth bears, their cubs, Wild dogs on a kill, Leopards pairing up ; Need we say more

By Deepanker Mukherjee, Forysth Lodge GM

The new year brings a fresh ray of light and hope that things will get better. As tourism picked up in the last month of the year things do seem to be normalising for nature lovers to get back into the jungle and once again explore and experience the true beauty of Satpura’s pristine wilderness and get the much awaited freedom from the lockdown and the travel restrictions. Forsyth Lodge Satpura,

The wildlife sightings have been as  amazing as ever. With the Sloth bear cubs growing up to be as big as the mothers there’s a chance to see them up close. The wild dog packs using their hunting prowess to bring down the Chital and Sambar present a chance to see these efficient predators. The Leopards pairing up to create the future generation. And newer individuals of Tigers getting more used to the tourism zone. Forsyth Lodge Satpura,

The winters have brought in all the migrant birds to the forest, grasslands and Denwa backwaters. From the higher reaches of Pachmarhi to the lower undulated areas life for the denizens of Satpura remains, thankfully, quite unchanged. Satpura is calling, where are you?

The Central Lodge and Luxury Jungle Lodge

The lodge is a rammed-earth structure while the cottages are built out of cob. Both are ecologically responsible ways of building that blend with local architecture and go a long way towards moderating temperatures through the variations of summer and winter. This is but one of several ways in which the Lodge treads softly on the landscape while offering every necessary comfort. The main building holds spacious dining areas, a well-appointed library devoted to Indian wildlife, a lounge, several fireplaces and the Forsyth Bar. Best hotel in Satpura

Dining Experiences

Krishna, our chef at Forsyth, is the star of the kitchen. Set menus which include a number of local dishes and our chef’s own variations has been a highlight for most of our guests. To top it all, beautiful locations both indoor and outdoor makes the dining experience even more special.
